These days, local sporting clubs almost exclusively use their website to store details of the club history and any historical records. These are usually comprised of one or more of the following:
a club history (written as a narrative)
office bearers (or long standing office bearers) over time
major award winners over time
club statistical records - current and/or long standing.

Note that some of this information may take up a lot of space on a web page. This can be very unwieldy and unpleasant to look at. Think carefully about how people will view these pages:
Try to avoid having long narratives or lists that require a great deal of scrolling by readers.
It may be necessary to break the 'history' pages up into a number of sub-pages - into 'chunks' that can be easily absorbed by readers.
If you have a club history, consider having a condensed version of one or two paragraphs that summarises the main story. This page can provide links to important events or club eras that can be written in greater detail on sub-pages.
If you supply lists of club awards winners or office bearers, considering ordering them by the most recent ones first. Again, consider recognising long serving office bearers or multiple award winners on the main 'history' page, with the complete detail stored in sub-pages.
