Most people know that volunteers are the lifeblood of the vast majority of local sporting clubs. It is also well known that many clubs struggle to find volunteers who have the time to do the tasks that keep a club operational. When managing the web presence is added to this, there is a requirement to also have volunteers in place who have the skills and knowledge to manage online operations.
This section of the guide is divided into three sections:
- Volunteer management and recruitment: this looks at the ongoing problem of finding people to be involved in managing the web presence. It also considers how a club might manage the transition of web presence related roles from one volunteer to another.
- Volunteer time: this page examines how volunteers might be able to use the time they spend managing the web presence more effectively.
- Volunteer skills: looks at the skills required to manage different aspects of a club's web presence.
